River Pavilion
Moncalieri (TO) - Italy
Demolition and reconstruction
In progress
The unique feature of this plot is its location right next to the Po River. The project, a major renovation of a 20th-century carpentry workshop, embraces the uniqueness of the site by creating a residence that faces solely toward the watercourse, turning its back on the surrounding urban environment.
The building is composed of two volumes, separated by a private patio: the first, close to the rear buildings, serves as a filter, housing the garage and service rooms; the second, facing the continuous flow of life, is the living space.
The interior and exterior merge seamlessly, with no traditional rooms—only spaces defined by imposing “garden pavilions.”
